Copyright Takedown Requests

Stoneye Sound honors the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same consideration in return. When a copyright owner, or someone authorized to act for them, believes that material hosted on or indexed by our service infringes those rights, we want to hear about it. Properly submitted notices are reviewed without delay, and we will remove or disable access to content that we conclude, in good faith, is infringing.

Reaching Our Designated Agent

Formal notifications of claimed infringement should be directed to the agent we have appointed for this purpose:

  • Service: {site_name}
  • Email: {contact_email}

Please submit notices in writing. Email is the fastest route and the only channel we monitor continuously.

What Your Notice Must Include

To be actionable, a notification should be substantially complete. Please supply all of the following:

  1. A description or identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed — a title, registration number, or a representative list where several works are involved.
  2. Identification of the material you want taken down or blocked, described specifically enough for us to locate it, such as the exact URL or another precise reference.
  3. Your contact details: full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and an email address where we can reach you.
  4. A statement that you honestly believe the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you own the rights or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. Your handwritten or electronic signature.

Submissions missing any of these elements may be returned with a request for clarification, which can slow down resolution.

Filing a Counter Notification

If your material was removed and you believe the removal was mistaken or resulted from misidentification, you may send us a counter notification. It should identify the removed material and where it previously appeared, provide your contact information, consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court, state under penalty of perjury that the material was taken down in error, and bear your signature. Unless the original complainant files a court action, we may restore the material after the statutory waiting period has passed.

How Quickly We Respond

Once a complete notice or counter notification reaches us, our team aims to acknowledge and act on it within five to ten business days, though complicated matters sometimes take longer. We may also forward notices to the affected party. Nothing in this policy limits our discretion to remove content at any time.
